Our Founder, Lewis Camilleri, understands the challenges of living with a poor credit score. His journey began when he couldn't secure a car on finance due to his financial history.
When I was younger, I was told that working hard and getting good grades were the keys to having all the things I would need in life. However, nobody emphasised the importance of managing and maintaining a healthy credit profile and the implications it would have.
My poor credit journey started when I was 18. My bank gave me an overdraft of £1,000 that I struggled to manage properly. Then it was utility bills, council tax, and even parking tickets that resulted in CCJs. Before I even knew who I was and what I wanted to be, I had 'very poor' credit and had only ever borrowed £1,000.
A life with good credit and bad credit are two very different things. After I understood this and adopted a willingness to learn the things I needed to do moving forward, things started to change. I was then accountable and in control of my future again.”
